 In the morning we made jelly in the kitchen me, Kieron and Deeny also with nag rau rito it was fun we were macking sure we had the rite. a mount of water  in the cup  then we put the jelly. in the fridge and then we all had friut and milk.

    In my class we all made a poi for our class Assembly in room 2 how I went I went so good what I fond every thing  esaey

1. How to make a poi
2. First you need a  Sang  
3. Then you cut it in a ball
4. And then you cut a hole in the poi
5. Then you stick in your rope  
6. And put a plastic bag  
7. And rap a rope  around the poi
8. Then you put Sellotape around the rope

Wharepuni vs My Home.

A wharepuni is 1 big room - My house has 8 difrent spaces and 3 bedrooms.

Wharepuni is only a sleeping place - My house has everything in the one space.

Wharepuni have whakairo that make it beautiful and special - My house looks like lots of other peoples houses.

Wharepuni is a house for the whole tribe - My house is only where my family lives.

SLJ-Waka Ama

I would love to do waka ama because it is a sport taken from our rangatira.
You learn the different calls.
You learn the different strokes.
And those are like what our tupuna done.
Waka Ama is about racing.  that is the different thing.
I am going to be on a waka at Waitangi Day this year, my sister and my mum will be too.

Kia Ora Karani.
We are on our way to a new land from Hawaiiki. We have been on our waka now for 16 days i think. Papa has been helping hoe the waka and our rangatira says that we shoulnt be too far away from the land. It is scary sometimes because the winds are strong and it makes the waves huge. i hope we find somewhre fast because i miss the whenua and running around with my frineds. i miss you karani and hope you come visit us at our new kainga.

MAUI.

In this story he fished up Aotearoa with a hook that is a jawbone and the blood from his nose.

His brothers didn't let him go fishing so he hid in the waka.

People also call Aotearoa Te Ika a Maui. The fish that Maui caught.

There are heaps of stories about Maui. My favourite story is the one where he slows down the sun to make the days longer.

I know a song about Maui. Maybe we can learn it at school.
